Juan Diego Route for the Galveston/Houston Archdiocese

The National Eucharist Pilgrimage will be arriving in the Houston Area on

May 30, 2024 and leaving June 2, 2024

Please Join Us as our Nation celebrates Our Lord and Savior in the Form of the Eucharist

 

May 30 |  6:30pm – 9:00pm |  Evening Prayer at St. Laurence

                  Evening of Prayer, Adoration, and Testimony

 

May 31 |  8:15am – 9:00am |  Morning Mass at St. Laurence

                  Parish morning Mass with pilgrims in attendance

                 

                  9:15am – 10am Solemn Procession to Oyster Creek Park

                  1 mile Procession

                  Starts at St. Laurence Catholic Church and ends at Oyster Creek Park

 

                  10:15am – 4:15pm Procession to St. Benedict Catholic Church

                  15 mile Procession

                   Procession from Oyster Creek Park to Holy Family to St. Joseph Syro-Malabar Church to St. Benedict.  Please have    

                   adequate water and food if you plan to join us for the whole route.

                  11:00am – 2:00pm Solemn Procession at the Basilica

                  Start Location:  St. Mary’s Basilica

                 End Location:  Sacred Heart Catholic Church on 1302 Broadway Ave. J, Galveston, TX 77550

                          

*** As a special note, Pope Francis has granted a Plenary Indulgence (remittance of temporal punishment associated with confessed sins under the usual conditions of an indulgence.)  This means every stop along the nationwide Pilgrimage route and the Congress event itself are now even greater opportunities for grace than they were before!
