Ministries

As a community dedicated to discipleship and service, Sacred Heart has a wide variety of ministries for our parishioners to get involved in.  Whatever your gift, talent, or calling, we have a ministry for you!

ACTS
An ACTS Retreat is a parish-based event which offers parishioners an opportunity to experience the love of Jesus Christ.

Mother's Day Out
Our program strives to promote the learning and development of our children 18 months to preK through social, emotional, physical, language, and cognitive areas.

Golden Hearts
A Program for those 50 years and older where we attend day trips, have covered dish luncheons with featured speakers, and other events for building fellowship and fun in our golden years. No formal membership fees or requirements other than being within the age group.

Knights of Columbus
We are a group of men joined together by the common interests of unselfish service to: our Church,  our Country,  our Community,  our Council, our Families and our Youth. Founded by Blessed Michael McGiveney in 1882 to support his parishioners in their Catholic faith and to assist those in need, especially the widows.

SSMM
The Society of Saint Margaret Mary aims to provide a place for the women of Sacred Heart to enhance their spiritual, social and educational lives as well as providing an avenue by which the women of the parish may unite in friendship.

Vocations
The Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston has asked Sacred Heart to reestablish the Vocations Ministry to welcome, support, and guide the Vocations culture within the parish.

Vocations Chalice
The travelling Vocations Chalice offers the chance to host one of the Sacred Heart Vocations Chalices, a focus to pray for vocations over.

Liturgical Environment
Our Liturgical Environment, the state of our church throughout the various seasons, is always in need of volunteers to help with maintaining and shifting the church environment.
