OCIA & Family Catechumenate

Pope Francis said that Faith “takes the form of a journey, a path to be followed, which begins with an encounter with the living God” (Lumen Fidei, 46).

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (O.C.I.A.) and the Family Catechumenate are one journey—a journey of Faith. Those who have wondered what the Catholic Church teaches and professes, those who are not baptized and wonder what being baptized means, and those who were baptized in other faith traditions and would like to explore what it means to be Catholic are all welcome to join us on this journey of Faith.

This is for:

1. Those who want to enter the Catholic Faith.

2. Adult Catholics who have never received their sacraments:  1st Reconciliation, 1st Holy Communion, and Confirmation (For those adults who have received 1st Reconciliation/Communion go to Adult Confirmation.)

3. Those who want to learn more about the Catholic Faith.

4. Children above 8 years old who have not been baptized.

We meet on Sunday mornings from 9:30am - 11:00am in the CCE Building rooms 1 & 2.

This is a 1-2 year process depending on your circumstances.
