Mission: SHYF is a ministry currently led by stay-at-home moms intending to create a Catholic community of families with elementary-aged children and younger to foster faith, connection, and fun through monthly events such as mom/parents' nights, mom & kids playdates, and family get-togethers. 

Vision: In the United States today, only 15% of children raised in Catholic households grow up to be faithful Catholic adults attending mass weekly. The median age at which these former Catholics said they made the decision to leave the faith was 13. Our hope is to give the future of our Church (the young children) a strong Catholic foundation and community to navigate life with by encouraging and ministering to the whole family.

Who We Are

• Families with children between the ages of newborn-5th grade 
• Moms, Dads, & Kids seeking to meet other families in the parish to grow in faith together

What to Expect

• At least 3 events a month at varying days and times such as:
• Families: After Mass playground playdate, All Hallow's Eve party, Friendsgiving, park gatherings, St. Patrick's Potluck, field day, morning Mass & walking rosary, summer picnic, movie night, Christmas lights hayride, after mass bake sale, etc. 
• Moms & Kids: Playground playdates, St. Nick's party, St. Valentine's party, music class, story time, splashpad meetup, service projects, etc. 
• Moms: Book club/podcast nights, Christmas party, brunch, craft night, spiritual night, Homeschooling Q&A, toy & clothing swap, recipe swap, etc.
• Parents: Trivia night, dancing class, talk with marriage speaker, restaurant date night out, etc. 
• A GroupMe community to receive more information, RSVP, share prayer requests, meal trains, community events, local deals, holy day & feast day reminders, informal meetups, pictures from past events, & more! 
• Second Saturday Children's Eucharistic Adoration
